“You gotta know when to run and when to fight” ~ Ronnie Freidberg (my old man 😉
My dad grew up in the 50s in Bartlesville, Oklahoma
Where a good fight could always be had if you were looking for one.
Of course, the Freidberg’s are not the tallest of the bunch
So we tend to work up a faster calculus before deciding what to do
Ruuuuuuuuunnnn!
I think about that a lot as I’m writing my daily content for my business
When the timer goes off just as I’m getting going.
Instead of barrelling through
Thinking I’m “in the zone”
I stop
While the gettin’s good
Take my 5 minute break
And come back to it
Where the answer is right there
Waiting for me.
That break
Not only saves me oodles of time
It keeps me interested in what I do
Which is the only way I know
To keep my prospects
Interested in what I do.
I’m here,
Kevin
P.S. Ironically, the collective whole of writing for 25 minutes and stopping for 5 again and again and again is “flow.” It keeps it interesting. Or as my wife and I always say to our kids, “IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE FUN!!!!”
