Consider preparing for your Zoom (or virtual) sales calls as if you were holding them in front of a large, in-person audience.
We were having dinner last week with a group of friends, all of whom had kiddos who had to perform their Jewish rite of passage during Covid.
With our own kiddo getting ready for his big day
We couldn’t help but ask:
How was it? Having to do it remotely?
Was it disappointing?
Was it harder?
Was it easier?
Which made me think:
We’re all sort of having these Covid Bar Mitzvahs
As I’m sure you can relate 😂
Where what once was an in-person sales call in front of, say – a business owner, their sales team, perhaps an assistant, some engineers, folks from IT, etc. etc.
You really showed up for those calls
Today’s virtual version
With a potentially disinterested audience
That very well could be checking their email or watching youtube for all you know
These so-called remote calls
So long as you put in the work
*according to 4 out of 4 recently mitzvahed teens
Can leave everyone in the Zoom
With the same sense of discipline, gravity, vulnerability and faith
Provided that you:
Prepare
Put in the work
And pull out all the stops
To connect with your people
And offer them something
That helps them grow.
I’m here,
Kevin
