If you want to write consistently, you have to know when to stop.
Here’s where I’m going with this:
I’ve been talking all week
About writing your marketing
For 25 minutes straight
And then hitting “post” or “publish” or “send”
Typos and all
But here’s the thing:
It’s not really 25 minutes –
After the 25 minutes
Comes a 5-minute break
A mandatory, legally required, punishable by –
Look, you gotta take the 5-minute break.
That’s what keeps you coming back for more
The next day and the day after.
The courage to be ok with walking away
To be enough
To just sit there
And let go of the words.
