Here are 3 options to consider when you’re ready to move your relationship with an email audience member to a zoom call.
You’ve got a nice open rate
Lots of positive responses from your readers
YOU feel good about your content
But you’d like to move the relationship
With a particular reader
From email
To a Zoom call
See if this helps:
1. The Dean Jackson (via Jonathan Stark)
I got this from my good friend Jonathan mid-December of last year.
Subject line: New Year Coaching
Hey there!
Iām going to work with a handful of private clients one-on-one in the new year.
Would you like to work with me?
āJ
Why it works:
It ends with a question.
It looks and feels (even) more casual than Jonathan’s regular emails
It doesn’t ask for a call – just a gauge in interest
The “ask” of the reader is oh so simple.
It is bare bones simple – like an email from a friend.
P.S. I scheduled a chat soon after.
2. The Elijah Delporte
A long-time friend of the list tweaks the original formula I shared with him and uses it to check in with his readers:
Hello (again).
There have been a few new faces around here, and by “here” I mean the inner circle of my email list! š
So I think it’s about time we make a reintroduction.
Mind if we dive right in?
For the past 2 years I’ve been obsessed with helping streetwear brands with their brand marketing to cultivate customer loyalty.
But enough about me.
This email and every email going forward is about you.
So…. WELCOME! I’m glad you’re here.
It would be amazing if you could take 30 seconds to:
Reply to this email with a 1-sentence summary of what success would look like for your business.
Heck, even a short phrase is fine.
I’ll get back to you with a specific suggestion you can start implementing right now.
I respond to every email!
3. The No Subject Line
Leave the subject line blank and dive straight into a “thought of you” offer for help
Which looks like this:
Subject Line: (leave intentionally blank)
Hey, just a thought, but I have an idea that might help you ____.
Can we have a quick chat?
This tends to work best for people you’ve chatted with before who you sincerely think might benefit from a call, provided you can fill in the blank after “help you” with just a handful of words that do not sell and are directly related to something you’ve already talked to them about.
I’m here,
Kevin
