Give too much and you not only under value your expertise but you might also overwhelm your prospect.
Give too little and you’re probably not giving away anything of value
See if this helps:
Play with it.
Give what feels like your secret sauce
But also keep in mind that even if
You gave away all the recipes from your restaurant
Your prospect would likely be overwhelmed
So much by your generosity
As to not appreciate the value.
Your guardrails then
Are for both you and them.
Whatever you can get across
In, say, a 20-minute call
A short email
Or a piece of quick, downloadable content
Should allow them to implement what you do
But keep them coming back for more.
I’m here,
Kevin
P.S. One of the most valuable giveaways I’ve offered is explaining the Content Solar System on LinkedIn and in this daily email. It renewed my faith in the spirit of generosity knowing I’d given away something dear to me with an open and free heart.
