Who needs charm when you can make the customer the hero of your story
My brother and I were raised
By a single father in Dallas
In the furniture business.
Which meant that
Three to four days out of every week
Dad would travel across a 6-state territory
With a lot of his single guy friends
One funnier and more charming than the next
All of whom remain my heroes
Especially my dad.
But watching him and his buddies hold court
Wrapping their prospects up
In the sway of their words
I knew I was a goner.
No way could I ever tell
Much less remember
That many good tall tales.
Clearly this is why I became a writer ????
But it’s different now
I like the new way of selling better.
They allow businesses to tell stories
That make the customer the hero
While the business owner
Gets to stay closer to home
And hang with the kiddos
And their grandparents:
Papa & Bubbe
I’m here,
Kevin
P.S. My mom and dad got back together after 43 years.
P.P.S. True story!
