7-Second Thoughts August 22, 2024

Keeping your clients busy

Giving your clients a little bit of ongoing work to do and holding them accountable to complete it, tends to lead to over-the-moon happiness

If the service you provide involves any kind of collaborating with your client

Giving them a little bit of homework

Doable, low stress, gratifying work

Assuming that their contribution’s crystal clear purpose

Is you getting to know their business

And letting them know their heard

And using that contribution in a way that’s over the top obvious

Can lead to:

Super high attendance rates for meetings

Glowing testimonials

Near instant approvals of your work

Near-zero last-minute drama

And a client feeling like they crushed it

Warning:

The only time this can go awry is if you leave the client feeling like how you feel when you have to fill out forms at the doctor’s office

Tedious, purposeless, drudgery that leaves the client asking

What was the point of all that?

I’m here,

Kevin
