There was a massive response to yesterday’s email Delay of Game Penalties. Many of which began by saying, “Um, can you send me the right link?”
Let’s take care of that now: Client Tamer Emails
Here’s why that was my (really bad) bad:
The process by which you get your clients to answer your questions before kickoff
Is the same process you use to get them to show up for the kickoff
And start a highly rewarding relationship
Where questionnaires so often fail
And emails set you up for success
And here’s why:
If you email your questions a little at a time
Every day before the kickoff
You can link each question
To the agenda
Where everyone can chime in
And clearly see
That the meeting you’re asking them to attend
Is not a meeting at all
But rather
A highly productive collaboration
To dive deeper into their input
Which lets your client(s) know that:
They’re in good hands
You really want their input
You’re going to use their input
And you value their time
Which is why everyone shows up for the kickoff
Enjoys the time spent with you
And looks forward
To the next one.
I’m here,
Kevin
P.S. See where your client can click on any of the questions in the Client Tamer Emails, and go straight to the spot on the agenda where they can write their answer.
P.P.S. Clicking on the Google “M” logo opens up a new gmail. You can then click on the down arrow in the blue “send” button to have up to a week’s worth of questions go out to your clients automatically.
