i did this with a client just last week
We did a side by side comparison of their new and old headline at the top of their homepage and the first thing they said was:
Wow, in this one there are no words longer than 5 letters.
See if this helps:
Take a step back from the first 7 seconds of your website
And see what words sound like you’re pitching something
Chances are, if it contains the name of your company, your product or anything you sell
It’s a word that you define differently than your prospect.
What if you weren’t allowed to use that word?
