Compose an email to yourself

Set a timer for 5 minutes

Right now 

And do exactly this:

Answer the question

What is the problem your prospect is coming to you to solve?

And write.

Anything.

Words and stuff and business-y business business

Even stuff that has NOTHING to do with your business

Like the fact that you don’t want to be doing this

Why is the very first pancake never good no matter how hot I get the pan I gotta waste the first pancake everytime my prospects don’t know who i am who is this guy they want me to solve what this is a complete waste of time

And keep writing

No matter what

Until the timer goes off

Here’s how to end:

Press send.

Even if you’re on a roll. 

And set your timer

For a 1 minute break

And take your 1 minute

Just as seriously 

As you did the previous 5

Get up

Walk around

Daydream

Nap

Maybe talk to yourself

Very, very, nicely

Lovingly

Gently 

Because guess what

You just put 

Your most important client

First.
