Why waste a second of our time together NOT talking about the only person that can increase your revenue.
My dream has always been to not waste my prospect’s time
Talking about anything other than their customer
And how they solve their customer’s problem.
And every call where I’ve strayed from that
Has always been kind of a letdown
For both of us.
So one day, before I got on my next sales call
To discuss their “marketing needs” I simply said
Not doing it.
I’m not going to waste theirs or my time
Discussing anyone else
But the one person who can increase their revenue:
Their customer.
So that even if no money changes hands
We both benefit.
My prospect walks away
With the first 7 seconds of their website
And feels good about it
Because they helped write it 🙂
And at the very least
I get to refine my craft.
I’m here,
Kevin
P.S. But here’s something I didn’t expect: the amount of work we got done in just a 25 minute call was enough for me to write a pretty decent homepage – not just the first 7 seconds. And I think that’s why since I basically started writing my prospect’s website from the second we get on the call , about 60% of those sessions have resulted in onboarding a new client.
