Wordle is great practice for not shrinking from discomfort.
If you’re a wordle fan you know there’s always a moment where you think:
I will never be able to solve this thing.
It’s the same feeling when you sit down to write an email
A piece of content
Or anything customer-facing.
See if this helps:
When you’re writing any kind of content
And find yourself stuck
Imagine yourself having already solved it.
You’re not imagining the words
As much as the victory.
Seriously, feel the actual relief wash over you
As you take full credit for something that has not happened
You did it. You nailed it, buddy. Hot damn that feels good!
It takes all of 5 seconds
Even with 2 kids on your lap*
But trust me
For reasons unbeknownst to me
About a minute later the right word, idea, or solution will surface.
Belief? Confidence? Manifestation?
Not sure.
My bet is it brings up a feeling of ease
That relaxes the brain
And gets you the closest you can get
To being comfortable
With being uncomfortable.
I’m here,
Kevin
P.S. Wordle Pro Tip II: Do it with a kid or two if you can. They spit out answers that don’t make sense, which helps you solve it so much faster – I think because it gets you out of your own head ????
