Somewhere deep down we all believe our business should be self-explanatory.
Oddly enough our websites are partially to blame
We rely on them to sell so we don’t have to
But if we look at our own limited time to buy
And get stuff done
We need all the help we can get.
See if this helps:
Show your website to someone in your network
And ask them to do this:
When you go to our website
Please read it for 7 seconds
And then physically shut your laptop
Or look away from your mobile.
Easier said than done
And then ask yourself
What’s the one thing you’ll get help with
After you buy what we offer?
That’s the kind of urgency your website needs to bring.
It’s not the urgency of a fire sale
IN ALL CAPS AND EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!!!
It’s an urgency that understands
That your prospect
Has as much time as you do
And if they can’t determine
How your product or service
Will transform their lives
They need to move on.
I’m here,
Kevin
P.S. Having a 7-Second headline creates that kind of urgency. Take 10 minutes. Literally race through it. Don’t overthink it. And I will send you the first 7 seconds of your website, business card, email signature, LinkedIn profile, and your first email subject line in one fell swoop. Start here
