Your prospect doesn’t want to be sold to, she wants to be known.
I just turned the big 5-0 and last night my wife threw me the greatest surprise birthday party in the history of surprises
No clue what was happening even a few seconds into what was ACTUALLY HAPPENING 🤣
The initial surprise came from our little bubble of neighborhood friends
And their gaggle of shrieking kiddos
After which friend after friend slowly trickled in
Each a delightful mini surprise of its own
Like a fireworks display complete with a grand finale of more and more friends having come from further and further away
Culminating with an adorable actor who arrived at just the right moment
To perform a singing telegram.
Gathering everyone in the dining room
She proceeded to do a lovingly embarrassing song
That pretty much nailed me dead to rites
Guilty!
In addition to being funnier than hell
It was a great big hunk of love from my wife
Who’d written it with the performer ahead of time to really “get me good.”
And what we all got
Aside from great big belly laughs
Was just how good it feels to be really, really, really known
See if this helps:
This is what I wish for your website:
I wish for your prospect to not feel sold to, patronized, or pressured
But rather
I wish for your prospect to feel KNOWN.
I’m here,
Kevin
P.S. Feel free to disagree, but I’m coming around to the idea that to be known is to be loved 🙂
